The Temple of Abu Simbel is one of the most famous and important monuments in Egyptian history and culture, especially in the Pharaonic era, this extraordinary monument was built in the past approximately 3000 years ago and is located on the western shore of Lake Nasser in the city of Aswan is 33 meters high and 38 m long.
This site is located south of Aswan along the shores of Lake Nasser and is the most famous in all of Egypt after the Pyramids of Giza and the sphinx. It was built by the greatest of the pharaohs, Ramesses II, this enormous temple carved into the rock marks the southern border of the ancient Egyptian empire with Nubia, i.e. the point of maximum expansion reached during the New Kingdom.
It is a very famous archaeological site in Egypt especially in Aswan and Italians always visit Aswan to take photos in front of the Abu Simbe temple and to watch the pharaonic history before their eyes as if they were living in the pharaonic era.
There are 7 statues at the entrance of the other temple, 4 statues for King Rameses and the other 2 statues for his wife Nefertari and it is said that that temple was built to celebrate the victory in the battle of Kadesh with his wife.
